Theme: Managing the Complexity of Aerospace Software
The goal of the 1st International Workshop on Aerospace Software Engineering Workshop (AeroSE 2007) is to bring together software engineering and aerospace engineering researchers to exchange theories, ideas, and techniques and experiences in Managing the Complexity of Aerospace Software. In
particular, the workshop will explore the impact of Model-based Development and
automation on the software development process as well as how to demonstrate the
quality of a software system (a.k.a. Certification). The AeroSE 2007 workshop
will be held in Minneapolis, MN USA in conjunction with the 29th International
Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE 2007).

Camera-ready papers due
We are soliciting research and experience papers that focus on tools and methods for the effective modeling, analysis, development and maintenance of aerospace software; methods and tools for effective team and project management; and systems and applications. The workshop solicits contributions from the broadest span of aerospace software areas and applications, including scheduling, planning, routing, maintenance, repair and overhaul, computer aided-engineering, ATM, safety-critical, and embedded applications. The workshop will accept both full papers (seven pages) and position papers (four pages). All papers should conform to ICSE 2007 conference guidelines and submitted via email to Charles P. Coleman ccoleman@mit.edu.
Format
The workshop will be highly interactive and focused on the sharing of problems and ideas, and on progressing towards a shared vision of research goals. Tentatively, we plan papers presentations as well as 2-3 working groups on topics of mutual interest. Working group results will be presented in plenary sessions.
